  Description:
    Abstract:
      The Conservation Fund initially coordinated the land trusts mapping efforts.
      The conservation areas were manually digitized by CGIA. This layer was
      created with the cooperation of The Clean Water Management Trust Fund.
      The 2000-2004 updates were coordinated by The Conservation Fund.  The 2008
      updates were coordinated by Brunswick County GIS Department.
    Purpose:
      This data was also created to assist governmental
      agencies and others in making resource management
      decisions through use of a Geographic Information System (GIS).

    Using ESRI's ARC/INFO GIS software, the data set was built for arc and
    polygon topology using the "build" command.  The data set was then cleaned
    with a fuzzy tolerance of (1 meter.)  Topology has not been edited since
    the last build or clean.

    Five sites were left out of the final coverage because their acreage
    as digitized was in excess of the allowable error as defined by The
